About

Joseph Stashko flits between London and the North West of England.

He is co-editor of Blog Preston , a local news site focusing on building community links and grassroots news. Joseph handles guest contributors, writes features and comment, oversees community engagement as well as organising events.

Joseph also detests writing in the third person, despite being told it’s professional.

At the moment, this blog is a place for Joseph’s writing that doesn’t fit anywhere else. He writes predominantly about technology and new forms of journalism, as well as the journalism industry.

Caffeine fuels many late nights writing copy, as well as suitably reviving oneself in the morning, preferably with an agreeable croissant.

Lovely :)

It took me a long time to realise that caffeine and/or nicotine and/or copious amounts of class A drugs is what makes a good journalist.
The sad truth being that my choice was caffeine and it probably does me more harm than the aforementioned options.
